Skate | Original stencil artwork on paper

With SKATER, Amaury Dubois captures the moment suspended between momentum and balance.
The figure, leaning forward, embodies daring, freedom, and that raw energy born of the asphalt. The body propels itself forward, almost weightless, like a signature traced in the air.

In his stencil collection, the artist continues his work on paper with a composition of five superimposed layers. This layering brings sharpness, rhythm, and tension to the silhouette. The whole is then reworked with acrylic paint and a brush, in dialogue with his abstract language: vibrant texture, free brushstrokes, and a breath of color.

The skateboarder thus becomes more than a movement—he symbolizes the élan vital, controlled risk-taking, the trajectory one chooses to chart for oneself.

Amaury Dubois  Born in 1980 and originally from Lille in the North of France. The artist draws his inspiration from the world around us. With his so particular style, which he has named “Courbisme” and his exacerbated vision of reality, Amaury Dubois creates colourful contemporary artworks, rich in life and emotion. World-renowned, he has also carried out numerous large-scale projects, such as the largest contemporary fresco ever created in a church in France at Châtelaillon-Plage, the creation of custom-made frescoes for the Pierre-Mauroy Stadium in Lille and the use of one of his paintings for a McDonald’s advertising campaign.
