But beyond its appearance, it’s also a light-hearted yet assertive critique of certain drifts in contemporary art.<\/strong> This artwork echoes the tendency of many galleries to exhibit everyday objects simply covered with logos – fire extinguishers, cans, bottles – transformed into \u201cartworks\u201d solely by the presence of a brand name.<\/p>\n

With this ice cream, Amaury asks: what will remain of this opportunistic art, fashioned to please or to sell? Like melting ice cream, these creations risk disappearing as quickly as they appeared, with no real substance behind their veneer of prestige.<\/p>\n
