In July 1939 Pablo Picasso went to Antibes<\/strong>, to Man Ray’s house with Dora Maar, where he painted “Night Fishing in Antibes”.<\/strong>
\nThe artist Amaury Dubois presents his vision of the famous painting<\/a>. He reinterprets the work in a contemporary painting<\/a><\/strong> faithful to the composition of the original work<\/strong><\/a>, where the curvature of one meets the cubism of the other. In this reproduction of the painting Night Fishing in Antibes<\/strong>, we can see abstract lines and shapes that intertwine to create a night landscape. The characters are having fun fishing in the warm night of Antibes. The sun has just set behind<\/a> the boat in which two men are sitting. The lantern, which makes the water luminescent, illuminates them as well as the wall of the quay on which two spectators observe the fishermen. Amaury Dubois takes up the colours chosen by Picasso but twists them and brings a different light.
